About the SWAT Mock Exam

SWAT isn’t just about preparing for official exams—it’s about measuring progress, identifying next steps, and reinforcing skills. If your child intends to sit the OC or Selective Placement Exam in 2026, SWAT offers a real exam experience and detailed feedback to help them move forward confidently. It identifies gaps in skills and knowledge that matter most.

For Year 5 students:
The SWAT Mock Exam follows the latest format of the Selective High School Placement Test, testing in:
• Reading
• Mathematical Reasoning
•Thinking Skills
• Writing

For Year 3 and 4 students:
The exam follows the current format of the OC Placement Test, testing in:
• Reading
• Mathematical Reasoning
•Thinking Skills
• Writing

Students can choose to sit the exam in-person at one of our NSW campuses or online via SWAT@home, supervised remotely.

• NSW Campuses

Students will complete SWAT on a computer-based platform and must bring their own device (BYOD). Any changes to the test format will be communicated should official exam guidelines change.

• SWAT@home

Students may choose to complete their exam from home under remote supervision. The format and standards remain consistent with our in-centre delivery.
