Who can sit the SWAT Mock Exam?
Students in Years 3, 4, or 5 can register. The exam is suitable for those preparing for the OC or Selective School Placement Test, or looking to build real exam experience.
How does the SWAT Mock Exam help my child?
- Familiarises students with the exam format and timing
- Builds confidence in a realistic test environment
- Provides a detailed performance report with areas to improve
What subjects are covered?
- Years 3 & 4 (OC format): Reading, Mathematical Reasoning, Thinking Skills
- Year 5 (Selective format): Reading, Mathematical Reasoning, Thinking Skills, Writing
How do I register?
Click [here] to register. Spots are limited and fill quickly.
When should we arrive at the venue?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. Final venue details and arrival instructions will be emailed before the exam.
Is there a break during the exam?
Yes, short breaks will be provided. Students remain inside the venue during breaks.
Can I sit with my child during the break?
No. Parents are required to drop off students at the designated time. Additional info will be provided via email.
When will results be released?
A detailed performance report will be emailed within two weeks after the exam, showing how your child performed compared to others.
Can my child register on the day of the SWAT MOCK EXAM?
No. All registrations must be completed before the closing date.
What can my child bring on the day of the SWAT MOCK EXAM?
- Fully charged laptop or tablet (BYOD)
- A snack in a named zip-lock bag
- Plastic water bottle
- Device Requirements:
• No software installation needed – cloud-based platform
• Internet access provided
• JavaScript-enabled browser
• Screen size of 10″ or more is recommended
• Students must be able to log into their device
What items are not allowed?
- Mobile phones (unless used to sit the test)
- Glass bottles
- Calculators, external paper, or notes
- Watches with calculator functions or sound
Scholarship FAQs
What are the scholarships?
Up to 30 scholarships will be awarded to top-performing SWAT students (Years 3–5), redeemable for tuition at North Shore Coaching College.
How are scholarships awarded?
Based solely on SWAT performance across all year levels.
When are they announced?
Scholarship offers are sent to parents about two weeks after results are released.
